Your daughter’s schedule will be made up of spiritual growth activities, school and tutoring, personal and household chores, cooking, physical fitness activities, community service, educational field trips, and recreational activities.

The recreation program at Main Place Youth consists of a variety of activities. Our young ladies have the opportunity to learn, practice, and enhance athletic skills. They participate in sports offered at school which includes softball, basketball, volleyball, and track. They also have access to exercise equipment within our facility.  A variety of other games and sports are played casually to emphasize teamwork and healthy fun.  These include board games, swimming, hiking, etc. The residents enjoy playing both pool and air hockey in our Annex.

Our young ladies also like to participate in fine arts like choir, instrumental music, painting, poetry, etc. Our residents enjoy making holiday crafts, scrapbooking, and learning to knit.

At Main Place Youth, we believe it is important to give our youth an opportunity to have some quiet time during the day. Even though our schedule is full, we take time every day for quiet reflection, journaling, and writing letters.

Life skills are also taught such as sewing, financial management, time management, goal setting, resumé writing, and job interview skills.

Community Service is an integral part of our young ladies experience at Main Place Youth. Our residents participate in a variety of community activities; they volunteer their time at Wheatland’s Health Care Center for seniors, work with area churches, and other community events.  We are always proud of the good work the girls do and often have compliments on their poise and work ethics.
