Hurting Parents and Troubled Teens Learn about the hope you can have and the help you desperately need! Main Place Youth uses the nationally recognized Teaching Family Model program. Through the implementation of this program, our girls learn many lifelong skills. Emphasis is placed on social skills, spiritual guidance, appropriate decision-making, as well as independent and community living skills. These skills are taught through role-playing and also by examples set by our staff. The goal for our girls when they leave Main Place Youth is for them to be able to return to their homes or enter into independent living. Main Place Youth is professionally staffed with an administrator, full-time teaching parents, a secretary, and an academic tutor. The wide variety of services offered by the Kingman community and excellent schools provide support for our program. Our governing body consists of a board of caring volunteers. Main Place Youth is a ministry. Without the knowledge of God and the teaching of God's love expressed through His Son, Jesus Christ, the hope of a lasting change in young lives would be futile. Our mission here is to plant seeds and water them. The change is God's work. Together working with Him, through prayers and financial support, we have the awesome responsibility and privilege of "Touching Lives."
